Looking for a way to become involved in QPAC? QPAC has several active Committees working together to make us productive and dynamic organization! Volunteering with a QPAC Committee is a great way to benefit QPAC, and, in turn, children receiving special education services in Quincy Public Schools. Each Committee is open to any QPAC member interested in lending a hand. Just contact the Committee Chair!

The A.P.P.L.E. Research Project Committee fulfills the mission and goals of the A.P.P.L.E. Project in regard to QPAC.

The Library Donations Committee coordinates the collection of materials for the QPAC Resource Library to be housed at the Thomas Crane Library.

The Outreach Committee assists the Outreach Outreach Chair with locating and scheduling speakers and/or workshops of interest to Special Education parents, teachers, caregivers and others interested parties.

Committee:Inspire Project


The Inspire Project Committee works with Quincy Public Schools administration and Inspire, Inc. on a feasibility study for an in-house reading academy for children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia.

Committee:QATV - PSA Team
The QATV - PSA Committee develops public service announcements for QPAC and explores other uses of Quincy Access Television for QPAC.

Committee:Recreation
Researches area recreational venues.

Committee News: The Recreation Committee is looking for volunteers to research social and recreational activities for children with special needs. Members of the Committee will research and contact area recreational venues, as well as gather personal experiences from other parents to determine if these groups offer activities that are inclusive of the special needs population with appropriate accommodations in place.

The Resource Fair Committee will plan and run the QPAC Resource Fair proposed for spring 2009.

Committee:Transportation
The Transportation Committee maintains a log of transportation issues and works with Quincy Public Schools administration and outside vendors to solve transportation-related problems.

Committee News: The Transportation Committee would like to remind QPAC parents to continue to contact Quincy Public Schools transportation office at 617-984-8964 with any concerns they have about their child's bus service, and to additionally notify QPAC if they feel comfortable doing so.
