Avenues to Success in Quincy
Public Schools September 14, 2010, 6:30 pm at Broad Meadows Middle School
Help us kick off the school year with
a presentation by Judy Todd, Director of Special
Education, and her staff! Attendees will receive an overview of special
education programs in the Quincy Public Schools, and learn about the curriculum, strategies, and technologies being utilized within these programs. Ms. Todd and her staff will also provide an update on major changes within the Special Education Department. Special Education - What You Need to Know November 1, 2010, 6:30 pm at Broad Meadows Middle School Join QPAC for an introduction to the special education
process. Participants in this workshop will gain an understanding of
parents rights and responsibilities under state and federal education
laws, as well as tips for working collaboratively with school
personnel. An opportunity for participant questions will follow the
presentation.
Understanding Psychological and
Neuropsychological Evaluations December 1, 2010, 6:30 pm at Broad Meadows Middle School Parents
and educators are encouraged to attend this seminar exploring
psychological testing in educational and health care environments,
presented by Dr. Joseph Moldover. Attendees will learn about the types
of evaluations available, what is done during an evaluation, and how to
interpret an evaluation report. Time will be allotted for participant
questions and discussion. Dr. Joseph Moldover is an experienced
clinical psychologist specializing in developmental neuropsychology.
His work focuses on building a complete understanding of an
individual’s learning and behavior through the use of psychological and
neuropsychological assessment techniques, psychotherapy, and school

Helpful Homework Hints February 1, 2011, 6:30 pm at Broad Meadows Middle School Is homework a hassle in your home? Then join us as we host Eric Clark for this informative workshop offering helpful hints on reducing the stress of homework for your child. Parents will learn practical ideas and strategies to help with homework, encourage effective organization and study skills,
and support their child's academic success. Mr. Clark is the founder
and director of Quincy Tutoring, a local tutoring service offering one-
He also serves as the Assistant Director of Academic Services at
Eastern Nazarene College and is a former Quincy Public Schools teacher.
