| 2008 Coordinated
Program Review |
The 2008 Coordinated Program Review of the
Quincy Public Schools has been completed. Preliminary results suggest
that QPS did very well! Of 59 criteria assessed, only 5 - 8 were found
to be not fully implemented (check out the Department
of Elementary and Secondary Education's website for a listing of criteria). The full report from the ESE is expected in the fall. |

The
Massachusetts Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) collects data on students in each school district across the
state. Information collected includes enrollment and
attendance
figures, income, race, and gender data, special education eligibility,
and MCAS results.
Data is reported three times a year to the ESE
as part of the Student Information Management System (SIMS).

Program Review |
The
Program Quality Review Services (PQA) of the Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education performs Coordinated Program Reviews of school districts
statewide. The Reviews are performed in a six-year cycle with a
mid-cycle review every
three years, and address school district compliance in several areas,
including special education.
